A Day in the Life of Timebank

Childline / NSPCC Success

“I am so delighted with the hard work of all our local Littleport Timebank volunteers and the fantastic turn out that made our Childline/NSPCC Charity Event at the Children’s Centre in Parsons Lane such a success,” said a delighted Littleport Timebank Co-ordinator Caline Easey who announced that they had raised £451.54.

“Local traders and individuals providing generous donations for our raffle and tombola boosted the coffers,” said Caline. “I just wanted to thank Littleport Timebank who did an amazing job keeping our children entertained”, said Fae Wood, one of the many local mothers who attended with her four children.

The whole morning was packed with entertainment as a steady stream of Mums and Dads and Grandparents turned up with their children who loved having their faces painted, being entertained by ‘Mrs Melody’, enjoying circus skills performers courtesy of Stuart Barber; Founder, Training and Programme Developer of Doody’s Educational Workshop from Bishop’s Stortford, and Mr King who made various items out of waste material, plus stuffing their faces with homemade cake, and feeding the gentle Alpacas who came from Stephen Cole’s local Alpaca Lifestyle Farm.
